Aloe Vera Latex

Aloe vera latex is a component present in the outer leaf of aloe vera. It is a yellow sticky substance. This substance is called aloin. It is a naturally occurring latex. This latex can be used to treat many stomach related problems and many digestive-tract related problems.

Aloe Vera Aloin

Aloin is a yellowish sticky gel that can be got from the outer leaf of aloe vera. It has a very bitter taste. Aloin is used to treat constipation and relieve pain during passing stools.

Constipation: The large intestine or colon absorbs more water than required from the stool. Thus there is no lubrication. This causes friction and therefore pain every time you pass stool.

Latex: Latex relaxes the colon. This is done by hydrating the colon and preventing it from absorbing water from stools. Latex cleans the colon and drains any impurities present in it.

Capsules: Aloe vera capsules are being prescribed in many fields of medicine. It contains the extract of aloe vera outer leaf; aloin. Aloin is a yellow bitter substance present in the outer leaf of aloe vera. This substance is extracted and spray dried to make a yellow powder. It is then filled inside a capsule.

Juices: Aloe vera juices can be used in for many illnesses. It can also be used as a natural health drink. There are two types of aloe vera juices; the inner gel juice and the whole leaf juice. The inner gel juice can be used as a health drink and can be drunk by anyone. The whole leaf juice should be drunk only by people with constipation and bowel problems. Therefore even if you do drink the whole leaf juice, be careful not to over drink it.

Tablets: Aloe vera latex powder is made into tablets and used.

Gel: Aloe vera gel is used in many medicines and creams. The gel too can be classified as with and without aloin. The gel can be used to make juice and also used to make many recipes. Aloe vera gel can also be added to your food. But owing to its bitter taste, it is seldom used that way.

Powder: There are many companies that produce aloevera powder. This powder too is available in two forms: with and without aloin. This powder can be mixed with honey or with warm water and consumed.

If you have an aloe vera plant in your garden:

• Cut the outer most leaf
• Keep it tilted on a container A yellow sticky substance starts to leak
• Let it leak and collect it inside the container.

This yellow stick substance is aloin. You can use it 1/2 tea spoon. You can either mix it with aloe vera gel or use it alone.
